The Serbian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, designed by ALEATEK Studio, is conceived as a “Floating Forest” inspired by Belgrade’s Great War Island, making it the only pavilion with a living façade and built with 95% recyclable and 80% reusable materials. Strategically located at the West Entrance and Earth Plaza, it drew over 10,000 visitors on opening day and positions itself as the “living room” of the Expo. Its spatial journey aligns with Expo 2025’s “Society 5.0” vision and previews Belgrade Expo 2027’s theme PLAY for HUMANITY, blending ecological innovation with cultural storytelling. Features include an ascending urban stair path, interactive exhibitions, a contemplative “Red Garden,” and inviting public areas with landscape integration and event spaces. Symbolizing Serbia’s balance between natural heritage and forward-looking innovation, the pavilion stands as a bold ambassador of sustainable, immersive, and culturally rooted design.
